Have you ever noticed?

That fat people are constantly saying they need to work out? Yet they always choose the elevator over the stairs and fast food for meals? Whoever came up with the "mighty meal" should be held personally responsible for all the obese children. O wait, wouldn't that be the parent's fault? Here's a thought, set a healthy example for your kids and learn to say "no". Something tells me if we can get a hold on that concept, we can do more to lower health care costs than our elected officials will.

Hit the stairs, and good luck.

I hope the Buckeyes have an early commitment on that kid..... Seriously though, Recently our household has had to cut back a little. The result has been either don't go out to eat or chose the cheaper options, all of which are of the fast food variety. So one reason kids get fat is just the lack of trickle in the ecomonic environment. A couple other things to consider.... As schools are force to teach to standardized tests in order to continue funding, Physical Education has taken a back seat. (No Child Left Behind pulls your money if your school doesn't score. While those teachers and administraters get docked for absent students the day of the test. Plus the special education students' scores count... just a few nuggets of insanity in the NCLB).... Cheap food is serious unhealthy as well.. One advantage of being poor is you'll get fat and then can't pull wool, so you stay faithful and married... half our married population needs to get fat... wait what if the guy's fat and the chick's not... or vise versa? My theory needs work.
