An amazing video and song that I believe accurately encompasses the entire campaign process (no matter which side you vote for). Enjoy.

It makes one ponder, would the millions (and millions and millions) of dollars being spent on campaigns be better served in bailing out Main Street? or at least in serving the needs of the less fortunate?

Personally, I am in favor of a plan where the government "renegotiates" with the banks in lowering mortgages to be consistent with the value of the house. Yes, I am obviously a homeowner and statistics (83% of which are made up) show that 1 in 6 homes are worth less than the amount owed. I wonder if that takes into account the amazing amount of home equity loans that were taken and used for new cars and trips to Disney. Always good to be reassured by the fiscal responsibility of Americans (the government and public alike).

I'm not opposed to exploring the idea of fixing mortgage rates on variable rate loans. And the idea of the Fed paying down every mortgage made from 2002 to 2008 by 25% may seem crazy but an arbitrary bailout of the big banks and corps was just as unjust and necessary, and I hold a mortgage created during that period. lol. Some interesting ideas came out of Obama's stump speech today. 1) no tax on any small business generating less than $500,000 in income. 2)tax credit to companies for every new american job created during that year. I want one of them to say that they will make it mandatory for gov't contracts to be held by only companies that have headquarters in US and majority of their workforce in the states. And as far as the Social Sercurity and the National Debt.... I say impose McCain's Spending Freeze with Obama's tax plan and will take care of those two things in 18 months. 7 trillion dollars.....DONE! Thank you very much
